So for me it was a PTSD thing specifically, but I have actually been in so much pain (it turned out to be a psychosomatic mess of shit, but it was still insane) that I have lain on a bathroom floor and thought, “I probably need to go to the hospital. But that would involve unlocking this door and asking for help. Maybe I’ll just wait and see if it gets better. Dying on the bathroom floor can’t be that bad.”

Cognitive distortion, WAHEY.

Yuhuh. I was having a ‘cardiac event’ and when my partner said, “call 911”, I said, “BUT I DON’T WANT TO BOTHER THEM!” I couldn’t do it, and then I did because it would be inconvenient for my partner if I died there while we were on the phone. 

…yeah.
